Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to arrive in UAE on state visit

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince is said to arrive in the UAE this afternoon for an official visit.
Mohammed bin Salman is set to touch down in Abu Dhabi in what will be his second trip to the UAE in about a year.
His visit underlines the close and historic relationship between the two countries that are cooperating across defence, trade and tourism.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was last in UAE capital in November 2018, where he put in an appearance at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina.
It is expected he will meet Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, along with a host of other ministers and officials to discuss ways to further strengthen ties.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is a frequent visitor to Saudi Arabia and has a close relationship with the Crown Prince.

Sheikh Mohamed also held talks with Saudi Crown Prince during his visit to the UAE last year and paid tribute to the enduring ties between both countries and the bright future ahead.Just a few weeks ago, he and Prince Mohammed attended, in Riyadh, the signing of a power-sharing deal between the Yemeni government and Southern Transitional Council that seeks to end the conflict in the troubled country.
"UAE and Saudi relations are an exceptional role model for brotherly ties that go down to the annals of history," said Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.
"They are firmly based on mutual respect and joint determination to achieve the ambitions of their two peoples for sustainable development, social welfare and economic wellbeing."
Prince Mohammed was appointed Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia in 2017. He is also the country’s deputy prime minister and minister for defence.
