OFFICIAL: Ter-Stegen breaks 14-year old Laliga record in Barca's victory over Getafe


Barcelona scaled through the stubborn Getafe as they defeated the Madrid-based club side 2-1 at the Nou Camp on Saturday afternoon. First-half strike from summer signing Antoine Griezmann and Sergi Roberto gave the Catalans the win despite Angel Rodriguez's goal for the visitors.

One of Barcelona's stand-out performer against Getafe was Marc-André Ter Stegen, the German shot-stopper made a goal line save as he also breaks a 14-year old Laliga record.

The German International became the first Laliga goalie to attempt 69 passes in a single league game since 2005-06 season. Ter Stegen has shown to be a ball-playing goalkeeper and he has recorded two assists to his name this season.
