Here's a 4-step guide to help you plan ahead for the new week
Before you can successfully go through a week you need a plan.
Failure comes only when you plan. Remember Benjamin Franklin's quote about planning?
"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail"
Isn't it obvious that a week requires that you set your plans so you become successful in what you do during the week?
Here's a 4-step guide to help you plan ahead for the new week.
1. Perform a check on your vision and long-term goals
Your vision is want drives you. Your long-term goals as well are needed so you remain focused on your vision. Being aware that your determination towards making your vision a reality is a top priority, don't you think you need to regularly check if you are still on course? So before the new week starts, take your time a do your vision and long-term goals check.
2. List what you are required to do
What are your roles? List all of them. It you can list your roles then you will become better prepared to work. If you need to go ahead as a trustworthy individual, you should always do what are required of you. Listing your roles makes you aware of what you need to do.
3. List what you need to do for each role you need to play
It's not just enough to know your roles. You need to also know what to do to perform each of your role. What are the things to do in order not to disappoint? Answer them and list them alongside the particular role that it relates to. You don't have to do things haphazardly, so go ahead and get a list of what to do concerning each of your roles.
4. Set time for the things you need to do
Time is limited. You can't pause or stop it either. So for everything you do, you need to set time for it. You should analyse each of your activities and ensure you allocate good time for them. You should also anticipate emergencies, unforseen circumstances and other things. Incorporate them into your schedule so you won't be flabbergasted when things begin to happen. As you know time waits for no man. Whether you complete your activities for the week or not, it will still come and go.
To plan ahead for the new week do the following:

- List what you need to do for each role you need to play
- Set time for the things you need to do
